On October 24, 2021 the B'nai Shalom of Sussex County Hebrew School participated in The Daffodil Project in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest

The Daffodil Project is a worldwide effort to plant 1.5 million daffodils in memory of the 1.5 million Jewish children murdered by the Nazis for simply being Jewish. The program seeks to help spread ideas of kindness and acceptance around the world, as well as to educate young people in a way that they can understand the magnitude of the massive number of lives lost. A special Holocaust Education presentation was shared with our students, along with the reading of the children's book, "Keeping the Promise: A Torah's Journey."

Students and Hebrew School Staff Planted 250 Daffodils around the temple property, and look forward to seeing them bloom in Spring 2022.
