Worship With Us

Where we focus our attention and place our hearts, reflects what is important and meaningful in our lives. The degree to which we feel our faith is important enough to be part of our lives. At B'nai Shalom, we practice integrating both Reform and Conservative practices with traditional values. Whether you join us for Shabbat Services, Holiday Services, a social event or a Hebrew School day schmooze, you will feel at home.

You’ll feel it when you walk through the doors of the sanctuary and meet our congregation.

Who we are as a community is truly important and that is defined by our beliefs, values and principles.

Our services offer a combination of traditional, spiritual and joyous celebration and quiet meditation.

Step inside our place sanctuary and worship with us.

Shabbat Services

Shabbat helps renew our lives after a long work week and helps strengthen our connections with our community.

  • First & Third Friday nights of each month at 7:00 PM at the Franklin Temple*

  • First & Third Saturday mornings of each month at the Newton Temple*

We are currently offering ZOOM services in lieu of in-person services. Email bnai.shalom.sussex.nj@gmail.com to be added to our distribution and receive the link.

Children Services: Sunday morning children’s services start promptly at 9:00am (when Hebrew School is in session).

Holidays

B'nai Shalom is rich in tradition and celebrates the cycle of the Jewish holidays. From the blessing of the New Year and Rosh Hashanah; from Sukkot to our annual Hebrew School Model Seder and Purim hamantaschen contest, our traditions are our connection to B'nai Shalom.

As the seasons change, each holiday renews our bonds and rejoice together as a community.

Families With Young Children

B’nai Shalom of Sussex County thrives on our children!

We offer children’s Friday Shabbat Services and Sunday morning services (when Hebrew School is in session) monthly. We understand how important it is for our children to come to services and that parents can be relaxed in a child friendly environment.

We offer many other opportunities throughout the year to engage families in Jewish life from High Holy Day Services, Sukkot in our Hebrew School Sukkah, Hanukah celebrations, model Seders and Purim parties.

We welcome all of our members and friends to our activities including our interfaith families and single parent families. And we are always looking for ideas for programming and want to meet the needs of our members, so let us know what you’re looking for!

Please join us for our upcoming programs, and bring your friends!
