Cantor Rebecca Zwiebel was born in Ohio where she received a Bachelors of Music from Kent State University, received a Masters of Music from Arizona State University, a Masters of Sacred Music in 2007 from the Jewish Theological Seminary of New York, and a Masters of Arts in Jewish Education in 2009. In addition, she attended the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem in 2002.

Cantor Rebecca served as an educator for the United Synagogue of Hoboken, NJ, Temple Beth Abraham in Tarrytown, NY, Montebello Jewish Center, Montebello, NY, B’nai Keshet, Montclair, NJ, and the Clifton Jewish Center, Clifton, NJ. In addition, Cantor Zwiebel served as a B’nai Mitzvah Tutor for White Meadow Temple, White Meadow Lakes, NJ, the United Synagogue of Hoboken, Hoboken, NJ, and Temple Shalom, Succasunna, NJ.

Cantor Rebecca has also coordinated and facilitated family learning, holiday programs and mitzvah projects, and has written many articles to inform her synagogue community of student achievements. She is versed in creating curriculum, including t’filah, Israel, holidays, and life cycles.

Cantor Rebecca formed a Rosh Chodesh group and helped facilitate a Jewish/Muslim student outreach programs.

Her Personal and Professional Highlights include participation in the Visions and Voices of Israel Seminar with the Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education, Program Director for the First JTS Annual Tzedakah Concert featuring the Cantorial School, performed with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus for the opening of the Edinburgh International Festival, accompanied by the Cleveland Orchestra, participated in the Kent in Florence program, Florence, Italy, and studied voice, language, academics and culture.
